以下の和訳は合っているか自信がありません｡

①There is a saying that goes,"In the autumn, the sky is high and the horses grow stout"(天高く馬肥ゆる秋、という言葉があります)「there is a saying、」は、調べてみると「という言葉があります」に該当していましたが、「that goes」がつくとどう違うのでしょうか?
②The heat of the summer will soon give way to fall, now that we are in the month of September.「夏の暑さも去って、９月を迎えました」will soon は「もうすぐ～だろう」でよろしいですか?
give way toを調べると、「取って代わって」とありました｡
でも僕自身日本語で「取って代わって」と使わないので、もっと分かりやすい訳はありませんか?
若し簡単に言ったらこの場合「秋になるだろう」となるかもしれませんが、季節以外でも分かりやすく使えるような訳し方があればお願いします｡
now that を調べたら、「今や～だから」とありました｡
その通りに直訳すると「夏の暑さもすぐに去るだろう、今や９月だから」となりますよね?
そしたらこれは、変な話、「because we are in the month of september now」、つまり「now that」は「because～now.」と同じだと思って宜しいですか?

なぜこのような（僕にとっては）変則的な形の文法が、本のような綺麗な訳になるのでしょうか?
長くなりましたが、ただ訳が知りたいのではなく、自分でこれらを血肉にして自由自在に使えるようになりたいので、解説をお願いします｡
そこには、September edition とあり、内容には、 多分 We will purchase the sample next month.とありました｡
で設問には、 When do they have the sample?1) August2) September3) October って感じあったのですが、9月号って、まず何月に発売されるのですか?
そして、9月号に来月って書かれている場合、10月ですよね?
私全く雑誌を買わない人間なので、一般的なことさえ知りません｡
